INFO:
Marsh was a centre forward or secondary striker. His career began in 1962 at Fulham, where he played for four seasons. In 1966 he joined Queens Park Rangers, where he became a legend of the club: 211 league matches and 106 goals in six seasons. He had good seasons at Manchester City as well with 26 goals in 116 games from 1972 to 1976. He also capped 9 times for England, scoring once. He retired in 1977.
Marsh was considered a very talented player who could have done more in his career. He was powerful, gifted with great technique and excellent dribbling. He was a lethal scorer in front of the goal but he was also a brilliant maker of goals. Thanks to his rare skill, he produced spectacular moments and incredible goal attempts. In fact he could beat defender just by looking past them or score in incredible ways like overheads. These characteristics combined with the fact that he rarely played using his full potential, led him to be compared to George Best. Marsh was also known for his bad temperament because he used to fight back when an opponent tried to stop him on the run with a foul and these procured him many fines.
