As a great center half, in jersey of Red Star Belgrade won four titles of national champions (1968, 1969, 1970. and 1973. years) and two trophies Yugoslav national cup (1968. and 1970).

For the first time in Yugoslavian league appeared in the 1963-64 season. Vardar Skopje in the uniform, which has until June 1967. played 106 league matches of the First Division. For Belgrade's "red and white" debuted on 22 July 1967. and to 14 May 1974. played 420 games (of which 189 league) and scored 11 goals. His career continued in France, to play for FC Troyes (1974-1976) and FC Paris (1977-1978), where he ended his career.

With three games for the junior team (1965-1967) and three for "B" team (1964-1966), he played six times and the best selection of Yugoslavia. He made his debut on 27 October 1968. in the match against Spain (0-0) in Belgrade, and the last match played on 13 May 1970th against Germany (0-1) in Hanover.

In football remains as coach, and at one time was the coach of El Salvador.
