INFO:

Osvaldo Ardiles Caesar was born on August 3, 1952 in Argentina's Cordoba province. Of medium height and slender physique, the presence of Ardiles in midfield in international football was more like that of a typical strategist at the midfielder. He was a skilled on-site low and they need to go long distance. Ardiles footballing grew after arriving to the first team to Hurricane mid 70's. His step was important for hurricane formation and became the mainstay of the institution's capital city who managed two second row, 1975 and 1976.

When the coach Cesar Luis Menotti, who had directed the whole huracanense before being named coach of the Argentina team, he rolled his eyes. However, many journalists and a large part of the hobby, not able to estimate the position of owner of albiceleste representative with a view to FIFA World Cup 1978. Of course, all wrong unless Menotti himself as Ardiles was, along with Mario Kempes, responsible for scoring plays strung together from the midfield forward.

The selection was gradually taking over Gaucho midfield Argentina, alternating his natural ability with a precise distribution game that delighted thousands of throats Argentina. Was crowned world champion in 1978 and represented the total selected World Cup Rio de la Plata in 11 games, six in 1978 and five in 1982. As a transfer was considered unusual for the time, Ardiles moved to England to play for Tottenham Hotspur, making figure and idol of the fans who affectionately dubbing Ossie ended, short for Oswald (Osvaldo). With Tottenham Hotspurs UEFA Cup did in 1984. Also a member of the Paris Saint Germain of France and the Blackburn Rovers, Queen's Park Rangers and Swindon Town, all of England.

In the war of 1982 between Argentina and Britain over the Falkland Islands, won the respect of most of the English people, even to England itself public in his support for the Argentine people. Due few subjects to graduate as a lawyer, knew Ardiles focus his life beyond football and remains a wanderer with a technical degree under his arm, hopefully elusive in such a profession, and British sports commentator and Hispanic businesses. But one way or another has been in the football world as it really was: a remarkable strategist accepted and praised by all the international football field.
