INFO:

Snježan Cerin, commonly known as Snješko Cerin (born 19 January 1955 in Zagreb) was a renowned football striker who spent most of his career playing for his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb in Yugoslav First League in the 70s and 80s. A very prolific scorer, he led the Zagreb side to their first league title in 24 years in the 1981–82 season, also becoming the league's top scorer with 19 goals. In 10 seasons with Dinamo, he also won two Yugoslav cups (in 1980 and 1983) and was five times the club's top goalscorer. Snješko spent 10 years (1976-86) in blue colors of Dinamo, played in 464 games and scored a total of 295 goals of which 103 were League goals.

Legendary Snješko. Likable and one of the most popular players in Dinamo's history. Snješko Cerin was irreplaceable in Dinamo's 1982 Yugoslavian League Championship run. Skilled and technical player who on the field looked uninterested but scored many important goals in his years with the club.

Cerin scored his first goal for Dinamo in a friendly game, Dinamo vs GOŠK (3:1, Dubrovnik 10.11.1976) In his first league game for Dinamo vs FK Budućnost (6:1, Zagreb, 17.11.1976) Cerin announced his arrival with two goals. First international goal for Dinamo Cerin scored in a game vs Ajax Amsterdam at Trofej Marjan Tournament 17.02.1977, a game which Dinamo won 4:0.

A profilic scorer as he was but, unbelievably, was never selected for Former Yugoslavia Team. In 1982 Cerin was League Top Scorer with 19 goals and that same years he scored three league hat-tricks for Dinamo vs Velež Mostar in 1981, vs Priština in 1984 and vs Rijeka in 1984. An interesting trivia is that of all League games in which Cerin scored (52-18-2) Dinamo has lost only two (12.06.1977. Željezničar vs Dinamo 3:2 and 16.05.1984 C.zvezda vs Dinamo 3:2)

With Dinamo, Cerin has won one Yugoslavian Championship in 1982 with unforgettable Generation of ’82 and 2 Yugoslavian Cups (1980, 1983).

Before joining Dinamo, he also played for lower level clubs NK Trnje and NK Zagrebački plavi (which merged with NK Zagreb in 1980). After leaving Dinamo in 1986, he played a season at SK Austria Klagenfurt (today's FC Kärnten) in Austria. After retiring from football, Cerin opened a care home for the elderly near Zadar.
