INFO:
Del Sol was a inside forward, winger and half back, deployed mainly in the latter position in the second part of his career, which began in 1954 at Real Betis, where he made 168 appearances in six seasons, scoring 42 goals. He joined Real Madrid in 1960, scoring 32 times in 96 matches in slighly more than two years. He transferred to Italy at Juventus, where he had his longest stint as he played 298 games from 1962 to 1970, scoring 31 times. His Italian experience continued at Roma between 1970 and 1972. He eventually retired in 1973 after one last season at Real Betis. He capped for Spain in 16 occasions, scoring 3 goals and winning the 1964 UEFA Euro, although he wasn't featured in any match of the tournament.
Del Sol was a short but fearless midfielder who added numerical superiority thanks to his personality, commitment, excellent stamina. In fact, he used to constantly change position during the match, showing determination, sprints, accelerations, always with the ball on his feet. He handled the rhythm and distributed the ball thanks to uncommon tactical intelligence and dynamism. He had a phenomenal physical condition as he always ran more than any of his teammates despite the fact that he smoke and ate any kind of food. He was equally capable of keeping the ball or taking it from the opponents, covering huge parts of the field with his constant running. He possessed excellent technical skills, although he sometimes exceeded with his dribbling almost obstinately. He beat the opponents with quick feints and tricks before distributing the ball with short or long passes as he was the main source of the offense. He switched his style of play between playmaker who triggered the attack and defensive midfielder who broke the opposition's offense. Del Sol personally considered his best match the 4-1 win against Inter on 22 December 1963, where he played superbly. He tied after Inter's initial lead with a shot deflected by Burgnich. He then scored two more goals in a couple minutes, the first with a splendid, powerful long range shot with the outside left, the second with a remarkable header.

Main set, should last 1964 max, since around 1965/1966, he wasn't that endless runner, he was slower and he didn't go too much forward, though passing stats still intact, still having ideas, but certainly less LPA (the minimun at least 80), it never was his strenght..
