A top class player, Franz Beckenbauer considered France's central defence (the famous "Black Guard" Tresor-Adams), the best in Europe.
Started as a striker but then played at defensive half and stopper. He was a force of nature, very strong physically, very feared by his opponents for his aggressive side. He had a lot of determination and will. Adams was very strong in the air, very athletic and a kind of a sweeper. He is today compared in his defensive area to his namesake Tony Adams "who cleaned everything up and left the field open for others." Nicknamed the Black Rock thanks to his tough style of play and his confident demeanor. On the field, he was a winner. An athletic player, but he played the ball well.
To be fair, from what I've watched, his offensive awareness was much higher, as well as his finishing skills. He scored a total of 30 goals (26 of them from 1972-1977). You could often see him in the opposing 16m, just sliding through the defense and/or being found there. In defense, he seemed unpassable, always appearing everywhere, sliding, tackling, winning some impossible balls.
I would suggest these changes:
Attack: 67 -> 72 Defence: 85 -> 86 Stamina: 87 -> 86 Top Speed: 85 ->84 Acceleration: 86 -> 85 Long Pass Accuracy: 75 -> 73 Long Pass Speed: 74 -> 73 Shot Accuracy: 65 -> 70 Shot Power: 85 -> 84 Shot Technique: 67 -> 70 Free Kick Accuracy: 67 -> 63
Add Cards: P16 - Extra Attacker S09 - Covering
Add Special Abilities: Covering
Perhaps include the 1971/72 season, because it was the best season in Nimes history, finishing in 2nd place, Adams played 45 games/5 goals
