Henry Caicedo is a former Colombian defender, he played mostly of his career in Deportivo Cali where he got his best years as footballer. His peak was in 1978 when he helped to his team to reach Copa Libertadores Final, making one of the most regarded couples of defender in Colombian football history along side Miguel Escobar, another of the greatest defenders in Colombian history. Also that year he was elected by Argentinean coach Carlos Salvador Bilardo as the best defender of America.

He was a very strong defender, very secure and a great leader, he was good too, controlling the ball and going forward, according with many journalist he could be the best defender in Colombian history but his life outside the field and his tendency to drink and parties destroyed his career.
