INFO:Andreas Buck, according to Karl Allgower and Juergen Klinsmann will be the third former player of the SC Geislingen, which provides a sensation at VfB Stuttgart. The midfielder is among the fastest ever Bundesliga professionals
(100-m personal best: 10.8), managed under coach Christoph Daum in the championship season 1991/92 he had a breakthrough this year into the extended squad of the national team.
The 180 cm and only 67 kg player, thanks to his ideal speed ,was a perfect counter player. He is also well versed technically, but sees himself "I have still shortcomings in the final conclusion infront of the goal and in the aireal game." Buck, a strong fighter conditional type, acts mainly on the right sideline, where he and his addition to his speed running assets were his best advantage.
Buck began his career in 1985 at SC Geislingen. In the 1988/89 season he moved to Freiburg in the second Bundesliga. There he brought it in 1990 to 65 matches.
In 1990 Buck moved to 1.Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart he matured on stem strength in midfield. In 1992 he was German champion with the VfB under Christoph Daum. Until 1997 he played for Stuttgart before he moved to the promoted club 1.FC Kaiserslautern coached by Otto Rehhagel, where he won 1998 the champion chip.
Till January 2002, Andreas Buck was working at FCK, after the failure of a move to England to Derby County. From Easter 2002, he trained first at second division FSV Mainz 05, where he finally signed a contract in May 2002 and remained until 2003. After a very brief stint in the Oberliga side Eintracht Bad Kreuznach, he ended his career.
