He played as a midfielder or striker .* Pibe Jorge Bolaños Carrasco is considered the second best player of all time Ecuadorian behind Alberto Spencer . At 13 he came to Emelec and in 1959 debuted in first with 15 years of age. In 1961 he was on loan to River Plate of Argentina , requested by Renato Cesarini , who saw in the 1962 World Cup Qualification . After playing a little over a year in the lower divisions of River Plate, Emelec again.* In Emelec was until 1969 , there was part of Blue Ballet of the Five Wise Men which was three times winner of Guayaquil , twice in Ecuador and participated in four Copa Libertadores .
