Rodion Gorun Cămătaru was a retired Romanian footballer who played as a striker. He was a solid striker, hardly displaced, productive and generous effort and also known for his pace, strenght, superb balance and good scoring ability.

He controversially won the European Golden Boot as Europe best goal scorer in 1987, after scoring 20 goals in 44 goals in last 6 games of the seasons. It is widely believed that this was due to manipulation and so 20 years later, the second placed Toni Polster was also granted a Golden Boot.
He won 75 caps with Romania national football team and scored 22 goals.
