Former Swiss striker, Sulser moved in 1973 from FC Mendrisio-Stabio to Vevey-Sports. On 1 January 1977 he undertook the Grasshopper-Club Zurich, where he rushed for nine years and four-time national champion. He then moved to FC Lugano, to finish his career in the Ticino home. As a center forward, scored many beautiful goals Sulser, performed acrobatic tricks, was a good penalty taker, and above all feared master dribbler.
