INFO:
Al-Buloushi is a former central, defensive or attacking midfielder. He spent his entire career at Al-Arabi from 1977 to 1989. He played for Kuwait numerous matches, winning the 1980 AFC Asian Cup as a reserve and taking part to the 1982 FIFA World Cup. One of the key players in the Kuwaiti squad that participated to the World Cup, Al-Buloushi was distinguished for his tendency to help in both attack and defence. A good finisher, he could use both feet, score with the outside or first time but his trademark thunderous long range and knuckle shots were feared by any goalkeeper. A free kick specialist, he was particularly effective when a teammate touched the ball so that he could hit it while moving. His offensive skills were also focused on distributing the ball as his short passes were simple but very accurate and his crosses were also quite good. He possessed solid speed when he had space and enough technique to control the ball or overcome an opponent with a dribbling. A thoughtful and hardworking midfielder, he didn't waste time for helping his defensive line when needed, rushing to his area and slowing down the opposing offense by closing the space, anticipate an opponent, taking the ball off him or intercepting a potential cross.
