INFO:
Al-Anbari is a former left winger or left side midfielder, capable of playing as attacking midfielde. He spent his entire career at Kuwait SC from 1971 to 1988. He played for Kuwait over 25 matches and scored at least 12 goals, winning the 1980 AFC Asian Cup and taking part to the 1982 FIFA World Cup. One of the best and most exciting players in Kuwait history, al-Anbari was a leader in the field, driving his teammates with his outstanding speed when running down the flank as well as his great skills and ball distribution. He was quite weak in physical challenges but possessed excellent ball control and dribbling that allowed him to defend the ball even against multiple opponents or targeting the goal after overcoming a defender with a quick movement. He was a superb assist-man, capable of delivering through passes, crosses from the side or the back, usually not very fast but with good curling and an insidious descending trajectory. In fact, he was often in charge of corner kicks and occasionally free kicks from close distance. A natural left-footed forward, he wasn't always accurate in front of the goal but he was gifted with a threatening and powerful shot from long range.
