Although he obviously had his best years outside Sweden, I still think Henrik Larsson did enough for Helsingborg to be in the first team squad here, he scored 105 goals for the club, including some fantastic performances in European games, and returned when he still had a lot to offer in the bigger leagues (United wanted to sign him permanently iirc).


I definitely think he’s more of a legend of the club than someone like Sylve Bengtsson who only played there 4 years and spent most of his career at Halmstad.

Yeah, you're right I guess. I included Larsson at first but then I preferred Bengtsson. I switch them!

And where is Ola Nilsson? He played 514 matches for them and should be in first team here..

I'll make the changes but I also need some suggestions.
I had a few troubles with the defence because there were too many right backs so I had to add Erik Edman as left back even though he didn't play so many matches.
Who should be replaced by Ola Nilsson? I'm thinking Alfredsson but I'm not sure.
About Danielsson, I know he was mainly CF but I put him as SS because who made his stats gave him that position too and I thought that was the best solution for the formation.
As you said Kroon was LWF so may the line-up be a 4-2-4 with Mårtensson as RWF and Espling as CMF beside Svensson DMF?

Wikipedia says he was predominantly a right back and both websites Transfermarkt and National Football Teams say he was also a centre back. Maybe he played that position at the end of his career. However as I quoted to Gurkenjoe there are too many right backs and it was difficult to chose one. I'd be glad if you can suggest me a better formation. :)

Otto Malm was mainly CF, so he should be moved to this position here. Tbh I don't see Larsson in best XI since he spent his best years at Celtic and Barcelona, not at Helsingborgs. On the other hand Malte Mårtensson appeared in 612 matches for HIF, scoring 242 goals, was one of the best right wingers in Sweden during his prime and later even voted in the all time best XI of Helsingborgs. "Henke" may have the bigger name and bigger career in general but just at Helsingborgs it's IMO no competition between him and Mårtensson.
