Stachurski played as right full back although he began as striker but was moved in defence since there were many quality strikers in Legia. He was courageous player with powerful shot, good set pice taker and with offensive attitude. Had decent physical strength and good pace on long distanced but not so fast on the ball and not much agile. Initially, the player clubs in Warsaw (sparks, Sarmaty, Warszawianka) and SHL Kielce. In 1964 he moved to Legia Warsaw. He made his debut in the March 27, 1966 in a 0-0 match against Wisla Krakow. With the Legia was Polish champion twice (1969, 1970) and twice won the national cup (1966, 1973). The last time he played in the colors of March 11, 1973 year in a meeting with Lech Poznan. The Warsaw team played right-back position and often wake up in the offensive action. He is a member of the Legia Hall of Fame. The colors of the Legia performed well in European competitions. In the season 1969/1970 of the Warsaw team reached the semi-finals of the European Cup (he scored the one goal - scored in the first round match of the Romanian UT Arad). The next competition was promoted to the quarter-finals of the Legion. The meeting was quarter final against Atlético Madrid scored one of two goals for his team. Moreover, scored twice in the first round duel with IFK Göteborg. The Polish national team debut on Oct. 12, 1969 in a match against Luxembourg. Total in national colors played eight games and scored one goal - September 23, 1970 he scored a goal in a 2-0 duel with Ireland, which took place in Dublin. His playing career ended due to injury. He then became a coach, first worked in the Legion. He was also the second Polish national youth coach and the first coach of the junior team. In 1988-1990 he worked in the Zawisza Bydgoszcz, which in the season 1988/1989 he won promotion to the first division. In 1990-1991 he was the first coach of Legia Warsaw. He reached the semi-finals with her Cup Winners' Cup. He served as coach of Widzew Lodz. In November 1995 he was coach of the Polish national team. He made his debut on Feb. 19, 1996 in the match 0:5 defeat of Japan. In total, led the national team in four games (two draws, two defeats) - the last time on 1 May 1996 in a 1-1 draw with Belarus duel. In the season 1996/1997 again was the first coach of the Legion, which won the Polish Cup. Due to health problems is finished training.
