Leif Eriksson is former Swedish player. He was talented striker but lacked consistency, could play on the wing and in the middle, had decent pace, very agile and flexible on tight space, had keeen eye for the game and good technique. He started his career in Sweden, playing for Djurgårdens IF, IK Sirius and Örebro SK, until he joined French side OGC Nice where he was elected foreign player of the year by France Football magazine in 1972. Leif began as a football player in Norrköping IS. 1960 was recruited Leif Eriksson of Djurgården IF where he twice was to become a Swedish Champion. 1966 Was named Big Guy of the Swedish Football Association. 1969 transfer to Derby County, and 1972 to OGC Nice. 1973 Was appointed as France's greatest player, was transferred in 1975 to SC Cannes before he ended his football career from 1976 to 1979 of IK Sirius. Leif played 64 international matches to be 49 in the A squad. Leif was also active in hockey where he played for Djurgården IF and IK Sirius, with the team they became Swedish champion 1966. Leif Eriksson scored a goal in an international against Norway, it was one of the most beautiful goals in the national team history.
