He was versatile midfielder with keen eye for the goal, short but stocky and strong, good runner with powerful shot and great long passing range. He also had good vision and teamworking abilities, tactically very responsible. Robert Prytz grew up with four brothers and three sisters in Kirseberg in Malmo in an apartment building called "yellow peril" in North Bulltoftavägen. He started playing with Kirseberg IF of Dalhem plan and made the A-lagsdebut at age 16 in division four . As early talent in the youth team he was on his way to Djurgården IF, but was left behind. Since his father, a great Malmö FF supporter, passed away when Prytz was 16 he went to Malmo FF, where he rose to prominence under Bob Houghton in a team with leading players such as Roy Andersson, Krister Kristensson and Bo Larsson. Series debut came two years earlier in a match where Malmö FF was criticized for setting up the reserve of the young Prytz against AIK. Prytz had only played a handful of league games when he was due to the many injuries the team had a chance in the European Cup final against Nottingham Forest in Munich in spring 1979th The following year he made his debut in the A squad. Prytz turned pro in Scotland and Glasgow Rangers 1982nd After a brief sojourn in IFK Gothenburg, he went to Switzerland Young Boys, where he became celebrated midfield when the team became league champions 1986th The same year he received the Golden Ball after a substantial increase in the national team and club team as a driver and invaluable team player. Prytz was voted best foreign player in Switzerland 1987th The same year he went to Bayer 05 Uerdingen stalled despite a good season just one year, when he went on to the Serie A game in Atalanta, where even Glenn Strömberg played. He played for it in four years in Hellas Verona. Prytz national team career was mixed. He played for the national team for nine years but never got to experience a major championship. Sweden failed to reach the World Cup finals in 1982 and 1986 and Prytz, who has been involved throughout the World Cup qualifiers, was not set aside by Olle Nordin to the World Cup in Italy in 1990. A classic match for Prytz came to Denmark in 1986 when an underdog Swedish team won by 3-0 with a goal of Prytz for a beautiful solo performance. The last years he played in the series of smaller amateur clubs in Scotland. After his career he remained in Scotland where his daughters Karen and Emma have grown up and now live. Prytz was, among other works in Rangers FC's youth activities. He returned to Sweden in 2008 to visit his aged mother easier. 2011 he participated in the SVT's Masters champion.
