INFO:

Former Slovak winger. Cvetler was nimble right wing, with barely average parameters of the body, however, was swift as the wind, and brought excitement to the stands, scored good amount of goals, very agile with good pace and nose for the goal. Not only that, he also often gets to a chance that been lifted from the audience seats. He endured in bright blue jersey full ten years and achieved many nice success. Team was four times for his work second and three times won the Cs. cup. Between him 3 times summoned to the junior team, 6 times a B-team and seven times he played in the Olympic. And it was there, in 1964 in Japan, won the silver Olympic medal, which has a high value. He played against Italy in Florence (0-0) and against Yugoslavia in Prague (2:3). With our best players: Schrojf, Lála, Pluskal, Popluhar, Bomba and Geleta, Masopust, Pospichal, Scherer, Kvasňák. Remained fond memories. It was the basis for the nomination Olympics coaches convinced. In our league (Slovan, Zbrojovka Brno) has played 300 matches and had 80 goals. If we counted three years in the Belgian club Standard Liege, he would clearly be in the club of players with more than 100 goals scored. Even there also unofficially belongs. Just in Belgium experienced Lajko perhaps greater glory than in Bratislava. Belonged there among the stars. Three years as a reservist was the second top scorer of the team, just behind the celebrated Takac. Twice there was a master in the EPM was the best team terror and played the finals. Twice won the Belgian Cup and was third in the final year of PVP. However, the trophy won long before the Slavic. In Belgium, when he played well Horvath, Kvašňák, Vacenovský, but on their popularity in clearly exceeded. Nice balance at the end of a career.
