Former Slovak midfielder. Hrdlička played in central midfield, very useful player who was good in ball recuperations but also good conductor of the game who can start the attacking moves with good passes, but didn't always show full potential. Player with decent technique and passing range, could score from distance as well, had solid pace. Ivan Hrdlicka was a dispatcher and conductor of the team, often the captain. Extremely tenacious midfielder throughout the middle of the field, intelligent technique with an extraordinary overview of the game. Ivan Hrdlicka was born November 20, 1943 in Bratislava, the first football steps began to do in his native Raca.
