INFO:
Martin Laursen is a former centre back. His career began in 1995 at Silkeborg. He joined Hellas Verona in 1998, where he became a regular in 2000, made 59 appearances and scored twice. He transferred to Milan in 2001 and stayed there for three seasons, playing 82 matches and scoring 2 goals. He then had a five-year experience at Aston Villa, where he played 91 games and scored 11 times, eventually retiring in 2009. He gained 53 caps for Denmark, scoring twice.
Laursen was a tall and strong defender, a good man marker and tackler. He possessed good speed considering his size but lacked of agility and reaction. Therefore, he could hold his own against opposing strikers on the run but suffered when dribbled or anticipated ball on the ground. On the other hand, he was very strong in the air thanks to remarkable leap ─ a great addition to his already huge height ─ and reached most high balls either when defending or when trying to score during corners ─ he missed though many header attempts. He wasn't gifted with notable technique and his ball distribution especially with short passes sometimes troubled his teammates. He put effort in his matches but his performances often were far from flawless.

Spoiler: show

I would have left his default STA value (78 I think), never seemed to be a runner tbh, he even seemed to have heavy legs late in the San Siro game against Dortmund, I would say even Costacurta ran more than him since Billy was used more as a RB around that time (I wouldn't give the 2001-2003 Billy more than 83 in STA)

He did in fact have heavy legs. I noticed him many times struggling to run to stop an opponent unless he had the right space to make a sliding tackle. However, I wanted to replicate
his effort by giving him such STA since a higher MEN could make him less prone to commit mistakes, which he did quite a lot. How would you make a correct balance?
Maybe a simple decrease of STA to 78 as you suggest though wouldn't be a problem. After all, with such a low AGG value he shouldn't have a very low stamina towards the end of the game.

Give him white values in ACC then.
If he was noted to struggle with short burst of pace, then you can reduce his ACC even more to make him more punishable against fast attackers.
