Defence-MindedINFO:Facundo Garcés is an Argentine footballer who plays as a central defender. Born in Santa Fe (05/09/1999), Facundo Garcés began his sports career in 2017 for Club Atlético Colón, first appearing as a substitute in a professional match in May 2017 against Atlético Tucumán. After three years alternating between the senior team's bench and playing in the reserve team, on December 4, 2020, Garcés made his professional debut in Colón's victory against Central Córdoba. Despite his young age, Garcés managed to earn a starting position through sheer determination, and in a very short time became one of the most sought-after defenders in Argentine football. In 2021, Colón would win the Copa de la Liga, their first title in history, and Garcés would be one of the team's strongest assets. The following year, he would make his debut in the Copa Libertadores in the 2-1 victory of the Santa Fe club against C.A. Peñarol. Unfortunately, Garcés would also be involved in Colón's relegation to the second division of Argentine football just two years after winning the title: as a result, and due to various contractual disputes with the club's officials and fans, Garcés has not played a football match for over six months and has been approached by clubs such as Boca Juniors, Vélez Sarsfield and Deportivo Alavés.
