Salem Al-Dosari is considered the best Saudi player in the last 10-15 years, he's the main driving force behind the Al-Hilal teams that won the AFC Champions League in 2019 and 2021, and the Saudi team that participated in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, at which he scored the winning goal in the historic victory over eventual champions Argentina. Al-Dosari mainly plays as a left winger, cutting inside on his right foot and causing chaos, either shooting or floating crosses to the far post. He has excellent close control and agility, making him difficult to defend against when he has the ball at his feet. Early in his career he was criticized for his inefficiency but he started to become more and more effective and eventually improved to the point where he was arguably the best footballer playing in Asia. He is known for scoring beautiful goals, utilizing his dribbling and shooting technique which is unmatched in the AFC. He is the joint top scorer at the World Cup amongst both Saudi and Arab players, matching Sami Al-Jaber and Wahbi Khazri with 3 goals.

Any plans of doing more Al Hilal players from that generation? I remember you plan to complete the "big three" of Saudi clubs at some point or are you focussed on completing Saudi Arabia AS first?

Probably just whichever players are in Al-Hilal All Stars, like Al-Faraj, Al-Shahrani, Al-Mayouf and Jang Hyun-soo. I’ll finish Saudi Arabia AS soon and then Al-Hilal will be the first of the Saudi clubs I do.

Alright. Then I hope even more that you make an exception for Kanno who IMO was their most impressive player at the WC.

I'd say he's also a ★Tactical Dribble player.

Kanno was my favourite Saudi player at that World Cup (maybe even of any country, he played like Redondo during that tournament ), so it shouldn't be a problem to make his stats too.



I'm not sure, maybe when he plays more centrally, but I mostly saw him out on the wing, and he has a "risky" dribbling style, always trying to take people on and create space instead of focusing on ball retention like a Bernardo Silva or something similar. That's not to say that he can't dribble in those tight spaces, but I'm not sure he needs that ability, he's more just agile and tricky.
