The most active midfielder, team ringleader. He started playing football in the city of Chernyakhovsk, then he played in the Kaliningrad Baltic. The skilled football player was soon noticed by the coaches of the major league of Soviet football. In 1972, as part of the Voroshilovgrad Zarya, Vasenin became the champion of the USSR. In the same year, he took third place in the list of 33 best players in the Union. He has 9 matches for the USSR national team.
