INFO:
Always on the line, if he could take the ball without falling, Anzor would not demonstrate a spectacular throw. When necessary, without any timidity, he will throw himself at the feet of the attacker. Very jumpy with an amazing leap and cat-like reaction, in the late 1960s and early 1970s Kavazashvili was one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but in the Sbornaya he was overshadowed by goalkeeper of the century Lev Yashin. Nevertheless, he was used at both World Cups in 1966 and 1970, alternating with Yashin.

He played a total of 274 matches in the major leagues and 30 matches in the USSR Cup. He played in all matches of Moscow teams in European club tournaments (15 in total). He was a participant in his debut game in the European Champions Cup - against Inter Milan. He finished his professional playing career in the club of the first league - "Torpedo" (Kutaisi) , for which he played during 1972 (played 31 matches). He was twice recognized as the best goalkeeper in the country (1965, 1967), champion of the USSR (1965 and 1969), winner of the USSR Cup (1968 and 1971).
