INFO:
"Domarski ... Goal! Goal! Sensation at Wembley! " - who has not heard this unforgettable comment by Jan Ciszewski. The hero of this action, Jan Domarski, scored only two goals in the Polish national team. However, with the hit of October 17, 1973, he went down in the history of Polish football. The goal scored by the striker of Stal Mielec in the clash with the British was of great importance. Thanks to the tie in the lion's cave, the Polish team was promoted to the World Championships in West Germany.

Domarski was not an accidental Lubański's deputy. He was the king of Podkarpacie. He started in Stal Rzeszów, in 1972 he moved to Stal Mielec. However, he only did this because his Steel was relegated from the premier league. Domarski felt well in his hometown and did not want to move anywhere, although several clubs asked about him. Most often, Polonia Bytom, but Górnik Zabrze and Legia Warsaw also wanted him at home. However, he preferred his Podkarpacie region.
The stars at Mielec were Lato and Kasperczak, the two who started the action at Wembley. Domarski was not so special anymore due to the antagonisms between Mielec and Rzeszów. But what did it matter, since the goal of Jan's English was loved by all football Poland. With Stal Mielec, he won two Polish championship titles (1973, 1976). There, he scored 35 goals in 104 matches. He also played for the French Nimes Olimpigue (two seasons, 16 goals) and the Polish community SAC Wisła Chicago.

In 1973, Domarski not only scored an extremely important goal for the English, but also scored in a victory against Wales (3-0) at the Silesian Stadium. In total, two goals, all of them scored in the Polish national team. In an exceptional year 73 for him, he won the title of Polish champion with Stal Mielec. Domarski found himself in the squad for the World Cup in West Germany . He has appeared in three meetings. He wore his t-shirt with an eagle for the last time on July 3, 1974 during the famous game on the water with the hosts of the World Cup - Germany (0:1) at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt am Main.
