INFO:Started out in the position of a center forward, Daxbacher was a midfield player with long legs who was pretty slow with slow mobility, but with excellent technique and present in both parts of the field, he would often score very important goals.
Daxbacher started his career at the ASV Statzendorf. After having played for Kremser SC for one season, he switched to FK Austria Wien in 1971. During the next 14 years he played about 400 national, and 40 international games for this team, as well as 6 games for the Austria national football team. Daxbacher was also part of the Austrian team that advanced to the final of the Cup Winners' Cup in the 1977–78 season, losing the title to RSC Anderlecht. In 1985, he switched to Kremser SC again where he ended his active career in 1986. He won seven league titles and four Austrian Cup victories with Austria.
