INFO:A right winger (could be deployed as a striker and on the other wing if needed), known for his speed and skill. A fast and stunning feint winger, sometimes too fast - when he tried to cross, the ball was already out...Technically, he was not very evolved, long legs but his balance couldn't follow him.
On August 17, 1969, Seninho arrived in Porto to join the blues and whites. In 1972 he was forced to complete the military service that made him return to Angola for the overseas war. In Angola he continued to play football at FC Moxico, having been crowned Angolan Champion in 1972/73. with the end of the war he returns to Portugal.
Seninho had to fight for his place in the FC Porto team with other worthy players, but in 1976 he was already a starter. That year he managed to make his debut in the National Team. The following year he won his first trophy, the Portuguese Cup, but it was the 1977/78 season that completely changed his life. Before becoming National Champion, a belt he would receive just a few years later, in a second leg match of the Cup Winners' Cup in England, against Manchester United, he made two excellent plays that culminated in his goals. Enough for the Cosmos to desire its contest in the bosom of a constellation of stars. With 20 thousand escudos (half a million dollars), 12 for the player and eight for FC Porto, the deal came to fruition. Not to mention that Milan, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United wanted him too! He didn't want Milan, because of the catenaccio, didn't want Atlético Madrid either, because the Spanish league was very violent. He also didn't want Manchester United because English football was kick and rush.
As a FC Porto player, Seninho won 2 titles. He played 149 official games and scored 34 goals. He was international 4 times. At NY Cosmos, Seninho remained for five years, having won the North American Soccer League three times (1978, 1980 and 1982). In 1983 he transferred to the Chicago Sting to play two more years and where he won the North American Championship again in 1984, the year in which his football career ended.
