Part of the blessed generation of FC Sochaux in the 1980s. A loyal substitute, fierce, reliable defender, much appreciated by his teammates - Genghini even mentioned that when Zandona marked the opponent it was the surest thing there is. He was noted for his fighting spirit and team spirit and played throughout his professional career in the Doubs.
