Attack/Defence Awareness Card: Defensive-MindedINFO:One of the best players in Radnički Niš history, captain of the generation from the seventies, and with Dragan Holcer the best defender in the history of Radnički. He started playing in the pioneer team of FK Radnički in 1965 and having developed into an excellent right-back, he played a total of 440 games (285 championship) until 1979 – almost in all places in defense. Duel player, uncompromising fighter with a great sliding tackle excellent in jump play and heading. His characteristic is his sober game, went for direct interventions instead of the spectacular side - efficiency first.
Reliable defender, tough player with a strong character, one of the best in the country of those years. As mentioned, he played in the back half line, best was when he was the last in defense (libero) than as the front stopper. He had offers from the big four clubs of Yugoslavia, but he did not have the consent of Radnički. He also played for the French first division team Bastia SC (1979-1981) in 96 games, and ended his career there.
In addition to 15 matches for the youth team (1968-1969) and 17 for the youth (1968-1973) team, he also played 14 matches for the best selection of Yugoslavia. He made his debut on 6 May 1970 against Romania (0:0) in Bucharest, and his last national team match was on 8 February 1977 against Mexico (1:0) in the Mexican city of Monterey.
