Attack MindedINFO:Twirling winger (mostly on the left side), and sometimes striker, alternating between all 3 positions up front, Michel N'Gom joined PSG in 1981 from OM. Very lively and fast player with amazing acceleration, who was able at any time to destabilize a defense thanks to a certain carelessness and especially a beautiful technique, he would try his runs but relied too much on speed. He was pretty capable in the penalty area (on the ground) and had a fine first touch. Long free kick taker due to his relatively strong shot. Sometimes he would be able to help in the defensive end with his pressure and speed. He wasn't the best of passers, N'Gom would mostly use very short passes and sometimes 1-2s to beat opponents, while his crosses were pretty poor overall. Also, in some descriptions, his heading ability was mentioned in a positive manner, but I haven't seen any use of his jump and headers. However, he was often a decisive player. He came into play in the final against Saint-Etienne in 1982 and started the following year against Nantes.
Starting his career at Olympique de Marseille where he managed to prove that he could be a very good goalscorer, he wanted to try his luck at Paris Saint-Germain and the adventure was not a great success because he would not always be a starter. Still, after 3 seasons, two France cups won and 26 goals scored in 90 games (he was the team's best scorer in 83/84), N'Gom signed for Auxerre. He died just before the championship in a car around Auxerre which had aroused great emotion in the world of football.
