INFO:A midfielder who knows how to defend, attack, and who covers a lot of ground. A utility player who covers several positions. Athletic qualities make his game very effective. Technical and enduring, but not too fast. Has a sureness in his game and an excellent vision. In the 1978/79 French league winning campaign often played as a fullback.
Yves Ehrlacher began his career in 1973, at the age of 18, at Racing Strasbourg. In his first year, he only made 13 appearances (two goals). In the next season, however, he established himself as a regular player and made 31 appearances (three goals). Ehrlacher was to remain a regular player in the next few years. In 1979 he became French champion with Racing Strasbourg. Ehrlacher contributed to this triumph with five goals (in 29 appearances). However, in the summer of 1979 he left Strasbourg and went to RC Lens. There, too, he was able to earn a regular place and made 37 appearances (14 goals) in his first year. The following year, he made only 32 appearances, scoring eight goals. After only one more year, Ehrlacher went to SC Bastia. After another year, he went back to Alsace and played for the then second division club FC Mulhouse. And here, too, he was a regular player. After playing in previous seasons, he did not play at all in the 1986–87 season.
He played 182 matches for Strasbourg and scored 27 goals. During his entire career, he played 271 games in Ligue 1 and scored 49 goals.
