A true poet of the game, a natural leader & real boss of the team. Light, frail and airy, elusive and fast, he has exceptional deflection play and moving technique. Elegance, technique, millimeter precise passes from the outside of the foot - his specialty. Keruzore was a player with finesse, tremendous vision, who was easily changing the pace of the game, alternating between short and long game. 181st player in top 1000 French D1 players, just a sign of recognition for this remarkable maestro. At the age of 20, he made his debut in D1 with Rennes, on January 26, 1969 against Metz (0-3). In 1971, still in Rennes colours, Kéru won the final of the Coupe de France against Lyon (1-0). Then, in 1973, he signed for Marseille, but, a year later, decided to return to Rennes. In 1975, Kéruzoré tried the adventure in D2 by signing for Laval. A successful challenge since the Mayennais immediately reach the elite. It was in the Laval jersey that he had his only two caps for the France team between 1976 and 1978. He is also on the shortlist for the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, but the Breton player may not be sufficiently in line with the norm, and ultimately does not participate in this event. In 1979, he joined Brest, a club he then accompanied in D2. His coaching career began in 1981. Raymond Kéruzoré is in charge of Guingamp, Brest, Rennes, Tours and Quimper respectively. Gifted but rebellious, his big character certainly cost him his place in the France team, while he was considered at the time as the most deserving replacement for Michel Platini. Named player of the century at Stade Lavallois in 2002. Spoiler: show |
