INFO:A striker, with his preferred position being the right wing, his agility and felinity (agile) is edifying. Excellent technique, his dribbles were quick and he moves with a flexibility that belongs only to him. Fine heading game, very effective player in the elimination of the opponent, he lacks only a little composure at the end of his actions. He even played at right-back position for the team, and was fairly good in defence.
Guy Lacombe was a wanderer of the meadows of D1 who has 355 games in seven different teams. The striker, often repositioned in midfield, will spend three years at the Canaries where he wins his only championship, in his first season. If he played only one game in this first season, he scratched about twenty games in each of the next two seasons and planted his first six goals in D1. In Lens, on the other hand, the mustachioed man had two full seasons with six and seven goals. This was followed by two-year spells in Tours, Toulouse and Rennes, then Lille, half a season, where the Aveyronnais continued to sow his goals by handfuls. The 1984 Olympic champion finally ended his playing career at AS Cannes.
So Foot magazine ranked him in the top 1000 best players in the France championship, in 417th place.
