INFO:
Motyka was a right back full of energy, amazing and fast dribble, good physical conditions and field intelligence. He was famous for his offensive inclinations and great endurance. He played hard, but made few cards. He was not affected by contusions and injuries, he was characterized by horse health and great physical endurance. He played tough but clean football. In his own words, he was firstly a defender and if he decides to take an offensive action, it is only when he sees the possibility of creating a goal situation. There are also shortcomings in his game. "I don't get the ball out of my own half very well, I rarely decide to shoot because I'm afraid to take responsibility for their effect"

Motyka debuted for Wisla on March 5, 1978 and since then for the next 12 years he has not missed almost any match. The right-back, who also moved to the center of defense was a solid craftsman, he was never considered a star. He worked hard, playing in the Ekstraklasa for twelve years, his heart for the game were appreciated, but he did not have such talent as Lubański or Lewandowski. But Motyka was good enough to play in European cups and the Polish national team.

In the NT, at right-back he competed with Marek Dziuba, a great player. In the middle of the defense were Paweł Janas with Władek Zmuda, on the left side of the defense Wojtek Rudy. In the games he played in, he was blocked, terribly tense and didn't show his full skills. A boy from Żywiec, with an eagle on his chest, an anthem, representing Polish, he couldn't stand it mentally - in his own words. He ended up playing 8 matches in the national team.
