A goalkeeper who was very long-lived in the team who provided security, excellent reflexes with a perfect physical shape who also knew how to position and direct his teammates. Izkoa was a goalkeeper of great stature and great reflexes, sober and confident. His style was the opposite of Ñito's who was very eccentric.
Izkoa was sober in person and he was always serene under the posts; Playing with his foot was clearly not his strong suit and he never adorned himself in his interventions, but in return he offered great security and exceptional consistency.
The Basque goalkeeper placed you, knew how to tell you where you had to be in each play and then, solved with many reflexes and formidable conditions the situations that threatened Granada's area.
