Attack-MindedINFO:Gabriel Ávalos is a Paraguayan footballer who plays as a center-forward. Born in Edelira, Itapúa (12/10/1990), Ávalos started his professional career aged 16 for Club Libertad. During the beginning of his career, Ávalos went through many clubs, including Tembetary, in the Paraguayan second Division, Cambaseres, Tigre and Gimnasia (LP), in Argentina, where he did not have minutes, and Independiente (CG) and General Díaz, again in his native Paraguay. His breakthrough season came in the 2013/14 season playing for Deportes Concepción in the Chilean second division, and for Crucero del Norte, in Argentina, where he got them promoted to the First Division for the first time in their history. After playing for Peñarol, Nueva Chicago, and Godoy Cruz, he finally arrived at Club Atlético Patronato in 2019, where he had very good performances for two seasons, including a hat-trick against River Plate in the Superliga. After excellent performances at the club from the city of Paraná, in 2020 he was transferred to Argentinos Juniors, where he demonstrated his highest level and ended up establishing himself as one of the best forwards in Argentina. Playing for Argentinos, he was key in qualifying for the Copa Libertadores, good league campaigns and in addition, he was called up to the Paraguayan National Team to play in the 2021 Copa América. His numbers in AAAJ are 47 goals in 122 games, and starting in 2024, Ávalos will play for the Argentine giant C.A. Independiente.
