INFO:
Claudio Darío Biaggio is an Argentine former footballer who played as a striker. Born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa (02/07/1961), Biaggio started his career in 1986 at the local club General Belgrano. Nicknamed "Pampa", due to the small amount of players born in that region of the country, during his career he has played for big clubs in Argentina, such as San Lorenzo de Almagro, where he stood out scoring 80 goals in 169 games, being the tenth top scorer in the club's history. He played for many clubs throughout his 24-year career, but in addition to San Lorenzo, it's worth highlighting his spells in Danubio and Peñarol in Uruguay, Girondins de Bordeaux in France, Oriente Petrolero in Bolivia, Avispa Fukuoka in Japan, and C.A. Colón in Argentina. He retired in 2010 playing for Club Atlético Tapalqué, of the Azul Football League, one of the many local leagues that make up the fifth amateur category of Argentine football. A striker with a natural scoring instinct. Strong with his body, and with quick reactions, he was one of the best forwards in Argentine football during the 90's. He knew how to use his body as a post and also had no problem dribbling from any opponent. He had a very accurate shot in front of the goal, although he did not usually score very spectacular ones. He was a goal-poacher, although what stood out most about his game was his ability to collect rebounds.
