Born in Cosquín, Córdoba (15/01/1988), in his youth he played for Rosario Central but ultimately the team did not sign him. He started his professional career in 2009 for Montevideo Wanderers, in Uruguay. His first experience in Argentina came at San Martín de San Juan, where in 2011 he would get promoted to the First Division before being sold to his local team, Instituto. In 2012, Universidad de Chile signed Videla for a $1.5M fee, arriving with a lot of expectations. For the blue team, he would end up winning the 2012/13 Chilean Cup. In 2013 he joined Colón de Santa Fe, where in only one season he would win the hearts of many as he had become one of the best defensive midfielders in the country despite his team's situation. After being relegated with Colón due to a FFP issue, he joined Racing Club for a $1.2M fee. In the Academy, he would become a highly respected player, winning in 2014 the Torneo Transición, which meant the first title for Racing after a 13-year drought. After leaving Racing in 2017, he would return to Instituto to help them get promoted to the First Division though in the end they did not achieve their goal. He had one last spell abroad at Club Guaraní, in Paraguay, and would finally retire in 2019, aged 32, playing for Aldosivi. A fierce, seemingly tireless midfielder, he was considered a leader on the pitch. During the few seasons in which he was considered one of Argentina's best defensive midfielders, Videla displayed an enviable mentality, never giving up a ball and not being afraid of a tough lunging tackle. His job was more than anything to cut off rival plays and he did not have much need to go on the attack, in fact, throughout his career he only scored 4 goals. He was not an elite passer, but he had a good range for long passes, which he frequented. Short in stature but with a lot of physical strength, Videla was also not afraid of having the ball at his feet, although he was a player who felt more comfortable playing without it. He is a player who had a very short peak; Although Videla will remain in the memory and hearts of Colón and Racing fans, unfortunately, he was never able to maintain his status as a top midfielder in the league.
