Born in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza (22/02/1980), he debuted in the Mendoza League when he was 17, defending the colors of Andes Talleres for 4 seasons. In 1999 he would arrive at Godoy Cruz de Mendoza, however, he would not debut until 2001. In the 2005/06 season of the B Nacional, he would become champion and achieve promotion to the First Division by beating Nueva Chicago 3-1. Torrico established himself as the great hero by blocking two 1-on-1s in overtime. In this first period in the Mendoza club, he played a total of 150 games. In 2008 he was loaned to Argentinos Juniors. In the La Paternal club, he played a total of 53 games for a season and a half, being the starting goalkeeper of that team. In 2010, after the clubs did not reach an economic agreement, the player had to return to Godoy Cruz, where he would play 78 more games in Mendoza. In April 2013, he agreed to join San Lorenzo de Almagro for a two-month loan with a purchase option, to replace Pablo Migliore, arrested in a case for aggravated concealment. He had a great debut in San Lorenzo playing in the Argentine Cup against Deportivo Morón, saving 2 penalties, and being fundamental for his team to advance to the round of 16. On June 15, 2013, he made his debut in the local tournament in the San Lorenzo goal in a match against Independiente that would end 1-0 in favor of San Lorenzo and that would decree the relegation of the Avellaneda team. Thanks to his good performances, the Mendozan goalkeeper was permanently transferred to the Boedo club, initially to be a substitute for Cristian Álvarez. The 2013 Torneo Inicial started with Torrico sitting on the bench, but due to the weak performances of Álvarez, pressure from the public, and an injury, coach Juan Antonio Pizzi returned him to the starting position in a game against Quilmes for the fourth date of the tournament. Despite losing said game, Torrico's good performance maintained the coach's confidence in him, and he would later go on a streak of 540 minutes without conceding a goal. Meanwhile, with his saves on penalties against Estudiantes de Caseros, he allowed the club to reach the final of the Argentine Cup. Torrico had his consecration match on December 15, 2013, where with his left hand he prevented Vélez Sarsfield's goal by saving a one-on-one against Agustín Allione in the last minute of play, thus giving San Lorenzo their twelfth local championship. By winning the Torneo Inicial, San Lorenzo would qualify for the Copa Libertadores, where "the condor", - as he is called due to his birthplace in Mendoza, near the Andean mountains -, would ultimately become champion of America, being decisive in the penalty shootout against Grêmio and in the final against Club Nacional de Paraguay. In 2015, Banco Santander, sponsor of Conmebol, distinguished Torrico as the best goalkeeper of the 2014 edition. For a large part of San Lorenzo fans, Torrico is the most decisive goalkeeper in their history, and some even consider him the club's greatest idol along with Leandro Romagnoli. In the Azulgrana institution, he played 237 games, of which he won 104, being the fourth goalkeeper with the most victories in the club, and won 3 titles, including the 2014 Copa Libertadores, the most important title in the history of San Lorenzo.
