Bobby Moncur played a total of 296 times in the famous black and white shirt of Newcastle United, scoring three goals - all of which came in the two-legged final of the 1969 Fairs Cup. Arriving at Gallowgate as an attacking half-back or inside forward in the 60s, he has good technique, and decent passing skills. By the late 60s, he was developing into one of the best center back in the country. Rugged, determined and a superb reader of the game, he is a splendid captain for both his club and country; and also infamously, the last Newcastle United skipper to raise a major trophy.
