His finest moment came in the 1965 European Cup Winners' Cup final, where he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over 1860 Munich. Sadly, a serious leg injury just months later ended his top-level career, leading to brief spells at Plymouth Argyle and Bristol City before retiring early. Sealey was originally a centre forward but converted to an outside right after Ron Greenwood found his tendency to drift wide. Sammy was known for his fine turn of pace, decent dribbling and goal-scoring ability. Unlike traditional wingers, he often cut inside to shoot rather than just cross. Spoiler: show |
