Info:

He started playing for Escuela Vitarte in the district of Ate-Vitarte, his hometown. In 1949 he joined Independiente de Medellín at the time known as El Dorado along with other Peruvian players, forming part of a team that was known as "La Danza del Sol" for having up to 12 Peruvian players in its ranks. In 1951 he moved to Huracán de Medellín and then returned to Peru.

Back in his country, he played for Atlético Chalaco, being the undisputed starter on the right side of the so-called "Ballet Porteño", where Adolfo Riquelme (America's champion in 1953), "Tano" Bártoli, Luis Portanova, Germán Colunga, René Rosasco, Félix Mina, among others, stood out. With this team he was runner-up in the Peruvian tournaments of 1957 and 1958.

Spoiler: show
- He was a physically weak right-back with great anticipation skills, often very precise in recovering balls on his own flank, in addition to possessing very good attacking prowess.

- From his first appearance, wearing the glorious red and white jersey on his chest, Bedoya demonstrated his enormous talent. His lack of physique (he was short and very weak) more than made up for with great technique.

- He had the gift of anticipation, knew how to skillfully carry the ball at his feet and then pass it to the teammate who could make the most of the situation. In the end, one season with the "León Porteño" was enough for him to prove himself a "master" with the ball.

- Bedoya, due to his physique, was neither strong nor malicious; on the contrary, his football was smooth, elegant, and pleasing to the eye.

- His growth as a player was so rapid that, unusually, in his second year as a player, the most spectacular league in South America, Colombia's "El Dorado," set its sights on him.

- Towards the end of 1951, Bedoya was already beginning to make a name for himself in the midfield. They began to call him "Chronometer" due to his consistent performances and the precision of his interventions, and he became an undisputed starter for Atlético Chalaco, where he would play until the tragic end of his career.

- In the 1955 South American Championship, held in Chile, Peru finished third. There, "Chronometer" shared roles with Vides Mosquera, "Willy" Barbadillo, Cornelio Heredia, Félix Castillo, "Tito" Drago, "Toto" Terry, and Germán Colunga, among others. He won the starting spot over another great, Carlos Lazón, although he missed the match against the champion, Argentina. At this South American Championship, the "Chronometer" had a particularly outstanding performance in the 2-1 victory over Uruguay. In the 1956 tournament in Montevideo, however, he gave way to Lazón.

- Bedoya marked his opponents with the precision of a stopwatch, but time in his life was beginning to count down. In the 1958 "Ballet Porteño," he stood out in the middle of the kneeling positions. In 1961, tuberculosis unexpectedly took hold of him and took him away from football without granting him the joy of raising a trophy to heaven.
