"Cem Atabeyoğlu also said the following on this subject in the album prepared for the 1947-48 Fenerbahçe championship: “Sağiç Erol’s greatest characteristic is the away games he played with Küçük Fikret. His most successful game in this position was the magnificent game he played against Sparta.” Our late sports historian wrote the following about the merits of right winger Erol: “Despite his frail body, he knows how to easily escape even the strongest defender. Above all his ability to stop and cross the balls that come to his feet without waiting creates a great advantage for his other attacking partners. His greatest qualities are his ability to jump the ball and easily cross in the most difficult moments. His shots with his right foot are accurate and powerful. The only negative point we can record against him is his weak left foot. “He often gets into goal-scoring positions thanks to his dribbling skills.”
"Although we know Erol Keskin as the permanent right midfielder of Fenerbahçe and the national team, he says that his starting position is different: “I started playing as a right winger, but since Fikret also played as a right winger, Molnar moved me to right midfielder. After that I played inside on the right.” The famous sports magazine of the 1940s, Kırmızı-Beyaz, provides detailed information about this number and his first match in the first team: “After playing as a right winger in the youth and secondary teams for about five years, he played his first match in the first team against Harbiye in the National League competition on 26 March 1944. After this match, in which Erol played in the first team when he was 17 years old, he replaced his brother Fikret in the right winger position in many matches.
