"Born in 1936 in Douala, “Marshal” Mbappé Léppé is one of Cameroon's most illustrious footballers. A midfielder, he played for Oryx de Douala in the 1950s and 1960s, winning five Cameroonian league titles (1961, 1963, 1964, 1965, and 1967) and the Cameroon Cup three times (1963, 1968, and 1970). He was the first captain to lift the African Cup of Champions during the 1964-1965 season".
