Info:

“Ženda was ahead of his time. No defender played like him. He was as tough as a rock, but he never kicked the ball,” recalled his teammate Antonín Puč.

“He was a member of the Czechoslovak national team at the 1934 World Cup and the best defender in the entire competition. At the time, he was 30 years old, making him the oldest player in the entire tournament. He was a strong, tenacious, and temperamental player.”

Fun fact: Apparently, he used to play as a striker…

"Ladislav Ženíšek had a very difficult test. "It was a match between local rivals: SK Pardubice and AFK Pardubice. Back then, it was something similar to the Prague derby between Slavia and Sparta," recalls the now-forgotten Pardubice story. He started on the left wing of the then five-man attack, and on his right were the three Meissner brothers, the team's personalities and, above all, a well-coordinated unit that didn't offer the debutant too many balls. "I'd never expended so much energy on the pitch for anything like that, and by the end of the match I could barely move my legs. "I could already see myself walking back to the station with my suitcase," dark thoughts began to creep into his head.

"But in the end, his moment arrived." He received the ball near the penalty area, made two short turns, and put the ball in the net. This goal finally got me a job, thanks to Vojta Meissner's declaration: "He's not that bad, he could become someone." The coach gave Vojta a job, and so did I.

"Vojta Meissner was right: Ženíšek developed into a quality footballer, and Pardubice had a crucial influence on his career. They moved the striker to the back, converting him into a defender, and he played all the important games of his career in that position. I played for Pardubice for almost two years. I quickly integrated into the team, and we did well. It was very difficult to win at Pardubice back then; here we beat Slavia 3-2, and they had the strongest lineup."

I think this is the last one for now. It was a bit tedious to find good information, but I had fun reading the history and comparing players through videos. Although they're not very visible, these sets are worth bringing up. Using a VPN was very beneficial, as these are players who aren't originally from my country, so I'd appreciate any additional information.

Now I just need to update Junek's stats, and I think with this, he'll be complete among the Czechoslovakian starters for the 1934 World Cup.

CLARIFICATION: If any of these sets I created have already been created, please let me know privately so I can remove them.

Anyway, every day I'm closer to fulfilling that dream of having a definitive PES game with the stars of each team and simulating that these players once played together in a World Cup. They won't be perfect, but...

That's what makes each set created special...
