Rosén started playing soccer for Helsingborgs FF when he was 14 years old. In 1922, at the age of 19, he moved to first division club and local rival Helsingborgs IF and after a short time became a regular player in the center-back position. After missing the entire 1927/28 season due to a serious leg injury and finishing with his team second in the league, he returned to the team for the 1928/29 season and won the championship for the first time. In total, Rosén won four championship titles in the elite Swedish Allsvenskan league.
