Jäggi played his first season in the senior division at the age of 20 for FC Solothurn in the Central Group, alongside the West and East Groups, one of three in Serie A, the highest division in Swiss football at the time.
He subsequently played for Servette Geneva and FC La Chaux-de-Fonds for two years (1927–1929) and (1929–1931), respectively, in the West Group. With the former, he won the Swiss Club Cup with a 5–1 victory over Grasshopper Club Zurich; with the latter, he finished second in 1931 and thus participated in the final round of the Swiss championship, where he finished third.
In the 1931/32 season, he played for Urania Genève Sport in Group 1 of the National League and qualified with his team for the next round, where the first and second-place teams of Groups 1 and 2 played for the championship. FC Lausanne-Sport was crowned champion, but in the cup final, he and his team lost 5-1 to Grasshopper Club Zurich.
His longest spell at a club was with FC Lausanne-Sport; from 1932 until the end of 1938 and from the 1933/34 season onward, in a national league not divided into groups and applicable to all of Switzerland, he played for this club and won the championship twice and the national cup once.
From January 1, 1939, until the end of the 1941/42 season, he played for FC Biel-Bienne. He and his team avoided relegation at the end of the 1939/40 season because the league was operating under special conditions due to the general mobilization in response to World War II; the league decided not to relegate or promote any teams.
