In the 1926-1927 season, he played for Kinizsi Temesvár, with whom he won the Romanian Football Championship. In May 1927, he made his debut for the Romanian national team. In January 1928, he signed for Bocskai FC in Debrecen. He scored 83 goals in 213 matches between 1928 and 1939. He won the Hungarian Cup in 1930 and a bronze medal in the 1934 championship. He made his debut for the Hungarian national team on January 29, 1933, against Portugal (this match was officially recognized by the Hungarian Football Federation in 2000). He played eight times for the Hungarian national team. He scored two goals: against the Netherlands in 1933 and against Egypt in the round of 16 of the 1934 World Cup in Italy. Pál Teleki scored the Hungarian national team's first World Cup goal. He played for the B team and the professional team on several occasions. He coached the DEAC football team and worked as a mechanic at the Debrecen Clinic. Although he received an offer, he turned down the American team Brooklyn Wanderers. In September 1937, he was appointed manager of Diósgyőr VTK, but remained a player for Bocskai FC for another season. He also worked as a locksmith in Diósgyőr. From 1938, he played football for the DiMÁVAG team. In 1940, he was also hired as the team's manager and coach. He also served as executive director of the Mass Sports Department of the Diósgyőr Vasas Jószerencse Cultural and Sports Association. In 1943, he became a coach of the Hungarian Upper District Football Association, and in 1945, of the Northern District Football Association. He also coached the Hungarian university football team that won the World Cup in 1949. In 1957, he returned to Diósgyőr, where he managed Diósgyőri Bányász and later Pereces.
