Anton Urban won a silver medal in football at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, captaining the Czechoslovak squad. A Slovakian defender, Urban played from 1953-68 with Slovan Bratislava, but finished his career with one final season with Wacker Innsbruck, helping Slovan win the Czechoslovak Cup three times. He later became a team manager, leading both Slovan Bratislava and ZŤS Petržalka. Urban was given both the Ivan Chodák Fair-Play Award and the Ján Popluhár Award for his lifelong work in the principles of humanism and fair play.
