He made his football debut in 1924, playing for the Banatul club (Timişoara), where he spent one season. His performance with this team attracted the attention of the coaching staff at Politecnica (Timişoara), which he joined in 1925. He played for the Timişoara team for the next three seasons of his playing career.
Later, from 1928 to 1937, he played for Banatul (Timişoara), Ripensia, Universitatea (Cluj-Napoca), and Venus (Bucharest). He finished his professional playing career with Ripensia, where he had already played. He joined the team in 1937, playing for them until the end of his professional career in 1939. In total, he played 81 matches, in which he scored 58 goals.
